Clicker training is a great method for training dogs as it is based on positive reinforcement. Unlike many other dog training techniques, you will never need to correct your dog if he does something wrong, you will only reward him for performing the correct behaviour.

Using the correct techniques, your dog will quickly learn to associate the sound of the clicker with performing the correct behaviour. Using your voice when training your dog can often slow down the training process, he will sense frustration in your voice when he does not understand what you want him to do and this may confuse and de-motivate him.
